instructions: When you are looking for some rooms but not the whole cottage, e.g. for a group of six people, enter persons "2" (and not 6). The system will show you all available rooms and you can then book each double or triple room as you wish. If you enter persons "6" the system will only offer you the whole cottage as it accommodates up to 11 persons. The system assumes you look for a unit for six people and considers each room or the whole cottage as a unit but cannot add up rooms automatically.
We are usually accepting your booking request within 24 hours as availability is updated regularly. We just want to personally verify that nobody else booked your room on another site at the same time.

You can rent the whole cottage (sleeps 11 in five rooms with five bathrooms) exclusively for you or just some rooms as Bed´n Breakfast. The community area, TV lounge, roofed verandah and fully equipped kitchen would then be shared with other lovely guests.
How about food? Whatever you prefer: self-catering assisted by a cook, Bed and Breakfast, or half or full board upon prior booking. (We do not sell alcohol only soft drink but feel free to bring your own bottles.) Barbecue facilities or campfire with view to the opposite Liwonde National Parks which is rated among the best and most scenic National Park in Malawi.
Ideal starting point for boat safaris (boat landing bay directly on site) or for 4x4 safaris (self-drive with a hired guide or driven in vehicle by one of our independent partners, 10 min to gate). With a bit of luck you can even see from your room hippos grazing in our gardens after dark!.
We are close enough to town so that you can choose from a variety of restaurants or use the pool of a hotel nearby (fee applies). Occassionally you may hear noises from the hippos (and a hooting train which is heard all over Liwonde.) Enjoy the concert of bird-singing in the morning and bird-watching.
For the more adventurous the not so well-known, but spectacular Mapale Pillars (Rock Formations) are worth to extend your stay for another night. At the cottage you find toys, board games, art supplies for your entertainment. Bring your own darts if you want to use the dart board. Baby bathtub available on prior request.
